Unaffected by Trap cards, this Dragon Monster can attack all of your opponent’s Monsters once each during the Battle Phase. Requiring just one Blue-Eyes White Dragon and any other Dragon-type Monster to summon, Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon is an excellent target for the Spell card Dragon’s Mirror, which allows you to Fusion summon using Monsters in your Graveyard as material. Coupled with the fact that this Fusion Monster requires you to have no other face-up cards on the field in order to get the most out of its effect, Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon is an all-or-nothing option that can give you some spectacular wins - as long as you’re willing to accept some heartbreaking defeats as well. If this seems like a small price to pay, it’s because the real catch is that this Monster has to be the only face-up card you control to activate this effect.Īlthough this new and improved Ultimate Dragon can reduce your opponent’s life points to zero in just a single Battle Phase, the setup required means securing a victory has a fair amount of chance involved. While both this card and the original Ultimate Dragon have the same attack and defense stats, this card can attack multiple times per Battle Phase (up to three times total) by sending a Blue-Eyes Fusion Monster from the Extra Deck to the Graveyard. As its name suggests, Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon takes the idea of the “Ultimate” Dragon Monster and adjusts it for a more modern version of the card game. If you’re a fan of Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, then this Fusion Monster might be your new favorite card. While there are a handful of great Light Dragon cards outside the archetype, building a strategy around one of them does mean that you’ll benefit less often from any Blue-Eyes support cards in your deck. Since there are no other Blue-Eyes Synchros, you have to select other Extra Deck Monsters as the Special Summon targets for Spirit Dragon’s Tribute effect. The downside of Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon is that it relies on summoning Monsters outside the Blue-Eyes archetype. This group of Tuner Monsters is designed around Special Summoning Blue-Eyes cards to the field, making Synchro summoning more consistent. When summoning this Synchro Monster, any of the Level 1 “Eyes of Blue” Tuner Monsters can be used as material - along with one of the many Level 8 “Blue-Eyes” Dragon cards. That Special Summoned Monster is destroyed at the end of the turn, but you can easily use this effect to trade your chosen Synchro for an even more powerful Monster. Lastly, it can be Tributed in order to Special Summon any Light Dragon Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck in Defense Position. Second, it has a Quick Effect that allows you to negate an effect activated in the Graveyard once per turn. First, it prevents both players from Special Summoning more than one Monster at a time. The only Blue-Eyes Synchro Monster, Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon, helps you control the field with three effects.
